Why Your Donation Matters: From Help to Hope
The importance of taking action
When a disease is rare , it is often underfunded : there is a lack of large clinical studies, dedicated drugs and specific treatment protocols.
Yet those affected suffer as much, if not more, than those who deal with more well-known diseases.
Donating is an act of collective responsibility, of humanity and of trust in a future where more effective or perhaps curative therapies exist.
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a death sentence.
A diagnosis that leaves patients and families without any possibility of cure.
But today we can change this reality.
Research has finally opened new avenues, with experimental therapies that could stop the progression of the disease. Now, more than ever, our help is needed .
This fundraiser was created in memory of my father Aldo, who fought against CJD.
Our goal is ambitious and full of trust in others: to raise 30,000 euros to fund research and support the development of ASO and CRISPR-CHARM, the first strategies that could offer concrete hope against this devastating disease.
Every donation will go entirely to Prion Alliance , the only non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to research on prion diseases. To ensure transparency, I will publish periodic reports on my personal channel, updating donors on the percentage of funds raised and the progress of the campaign.
